Product Performance and Application
Characteristics and Uses of DMD Epoxy Prepreg Material
DMD epoxy prepreg material is produced by impregnating a soft composite material composed of polyester film and polyester non-woven fabric (Class F DMD) with a heat-resistant modified epoxy resin, followed by baking. The coated epoxy resin contains active groups such as epoxy and amine groups, which enable rapid curing at medium to high temperatures, forming a strong bond with copper foil. During the drying and curing process, no low-molecular volatiles are released, resulting in an insulating structure with minimal shrinkage. This product is widely used as interlayer insulation in low-voltage coils of dry-type transformers and can also serve as slot insulation and phase insulation in Class F motors.
